CD Projekt Red releases a new update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, making a variety of changes and improvements to the game.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has just received a new update that fixes a wide variety of issues. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt first released eight years ago in 2015, and it received critical acclaim at the time of its launch, having a score of 93 on Metacritic for the PC version of the game.
Since then, CD Projekt Red has released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on newer platforms like PS5, Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch. The Witcher 3 came out on current generation consoles in December 2022, adding support ray tracing and a performance mode for 60 FPS gameplay. Now, CD Projekt RED has released update 4.04 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on all available platforms.
The patch notes for update 4.04 of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt detail all the changes coming to the various versions of the game, with specific sections dedicated to some platforms. The first section discusses improvements made to the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, such as fixes for an issue that was making the game freeze under a specific circumstance.
Patch 4.04 is live on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch! It brings the anticipated changes and content to the Nintendo Switch version of the game as well as fixes for all platforms.

As far as console-specific changes, patch 4.04 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt fixes flickering issues present in the game, in addition to solving problems related to particular quests. It also improves the stability, during or after loading a save file, when users have been playing The Witcher 3 with ray-tracing enabled for a prolonged duration. Other changes include improvements to the visuals and grass collision, in addition to bug fixes.
