Triple Scale Games announced that Save Your Nuts will release on 16 April 2020 for all eligible platforms while some can already play the demo.
Save Your Nuts demo is now available for free on PC via Steam or for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch through their respective stores. While the title implies squirrels, they are not the only creatures that will take part in these contests.
Dogs, raccoons and other critters can join the up to eight-player sessions as they attempt to beat the other team in various game modes. The eight players can all join in a local match, provided you have enough USB ports for all the controllers.
If that is not an option, Save your Nuts will feature online multiplayer as well, meaning it does not necessarily require a player to have eight controllers lying in a room's corner somewhere.
The three featured game modes will be Capture the Nut, Battle and Thieves. Unfortunately, the game's description doesn't share too much info on what we can expect from each mode but you can see them in action in the trailer embedded below.
PC players shouldn't worry about system requirements too much as the listed ones on Steam include a 1.5 GHz CPU and a GPU with 1GB dedicated VRAM, meaning the rigs from 15 years ago are supposed to be enough.
The price across all platforms is $19.99 / €12.49 / £11.99. Considering there are still about two weeks to decide whether you want to pledge your money to the multiplayer extravaganza, it might be a good idea to test the game out thoroughly through the demo.
