A creative fan of Stardew Valley crochets a real-life doll of a blue chicken, one of the rare animals found in the farming RPG.
A fan of the independent title Stardew Valley has just made a crocheted doll of the game's blue chicken. One of the more challenging animals to get in Stardew Valley, seeing a handmade, real-life version of the blue chicken will likely tickle the fancy of fellow fans.
Despite being launched way back in 2016, Stardew Valley is still considered one of the most popular indie titles out in the market today. What's more, while its developer, ConcernedApe, has started working on a new game called Haunted Chocolatier, there have still been constant content updates and fixes to keep the Stardew Valley experience alive and going smoothly. With more to expect from the game's developer, it is not surprising for creative fans to use some elements from the game as inspiration when working on their personal hobbies and crafts.
On Reddit, user Altalunea proudly shared several photos of the crochet doll they made based on Stardew Valley's blue chicken. The crafter seems to have perfectly replicated the coop animal, giving it a cute, round body and its iconic curly tail feathers. The vibrant blue threads used to crochet the doll together also seem to give it life, and fans of the farming RPG will probably recognize it easily if they were able to unlock the blue chicken in the game. Fortunately, the Redditor shared the crochet pattern they used for the chicken, giving fellow players the chance to make the doll, should they wish to do so as well.

Stardew Valley fans will likely recall that blue chickens can only be unlocked when they reach a certain heart level with Shane, one of the residents of Pelican Valley. After doing so, they have a chance to purchase a blue-colored chicken from Marnie or hatch one from their incubated eggs. Given the number of steps needed to unlock access to the animal, there may have been a few players who were unable to have any blue chickens in their farm. However, it seems that the positive comments on the Reddit thread show the community's familiarity and combined love for the fowl.
With ConcernedApe teasing more content for Stardew Valley's 1.6 update, the community should probably expect more content like this blue chicken crochet doll to be produced by fans once the patch drops. The developer not only promises a new festival, items, and character dialogues, they are also hinting at secrets to discover in-game as well. Hopefully, the fan base will enjoy the update once it becomes available.
Stardew Valley is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
