All this week, Respawn have been holding an Apex Legends Octane Edition giveaway on social media; giving fans the chance to get a copy of the game’s Octane Edition by responding to the company’s tweets. Initially, the giveaway was only available to PC users, then it opened to Xbox users shortly thereafter. Now, as the week draws to a close, it has finally opened to PS4 users as well.

The Ongoing Apex Legends Octane Edition Giveaway
If you want a chance at getting your hands on a copy of the Apex Legends Octane Edition on PS4, all you need to do is reply to Respawn’s tweet (embedded above) with who you main in the game. This is a slight deviation from the previous tweets, which asked people to reply with what they were enjoying most about Season 4. Presumably, the giveaway will be ending in the next few days (most likely with the end of the week), so fans should respond sooner rather than later.
The Apex Legends Octane Edition, which is the third retail edition of the game, first launched earlier this year. Like the previous Bloodhound and Lifeline Editions, which launched in late-2019, the Octane Edition doesn’t actually include a copy of the game; Apex Legends is free-to-play after all. Rather, the retail edition includes a range of cosmetics, some of which are exclusively available from the edition, along with 1,000 Apex Coins. Typically, the editions retail for around $20.
As the name implies, the Octane Edition features several cosmetics themed for Octane. Most notably, it is the only way for players to acquire the “Violet Widow” Gun Charm and “Venomous” Badge; both of which are exclusive to the edition. The most notable inclusion, however, is Octane’s Legendary “Arachnoid Rush” skin. This cosmetic is included alongside the accompanying Legendary “Arachnoid” Charge Rifle skin.
