ARK: Genesis (Part 1) Gets A Release Date

Great news for all you ARK fans out there: the new DLC for the game, Genesis, finally has a release date!  ARK: Genesis (Part 1) was first announced with an official reveal trailer earlier last year(see below).  Back then it was projected to be released in December 2019 but was, unfortunately, delayed.  Thankfully, today we can say that there is a solid release date of February 25th.

ARK: Genesis (Part 1) is, as the part 1 implies, the first half of the gigantic Genesis expansion pack which will see players uncover the original, hidden backstory behind the world of ARK: Survival Evolved.  Like any good expansion ARK: Genesis will bring a ton of new content to the game including all kinds of new gear and equipment, a variety of new structures to craft, a large variety of new and different biomes to explore, and, of course, a whole lot of new creatures both big and small, fictitious and prehistoric to both tame and ride.
Ark: Genesis (Part1) will become available on both PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 25th.  There is no word yet on the projected release date of the second half of the expansion, Ark: Genesis (Part2).  As of now, it is safe to assume that the goal of Winter 2020 given in the previous trailer is still what the good folks over at Studio Wildcard are shooting for.  It is worth noting, however, that you cannot buy part 1 and part 2 separately.  They are lumped together on every storefront as ARK: Genesis Season Pass.  Just be aware of that when looking for news and information about Ark: Genesis (Part 1) out there in the world.
