Licence Global has published their list of the Top 150 Global Licencors for 2019, which includes some interesting details about just how well The Pokemon Company has been doing in terms of sales.
As seen in the magazine here, The Pokemon Company came in 22nd place with a total physical sales profit of over $2.98 Billion. This figure is said to include sales data for physical products only, which includes Pokemon toys, trading cards, clothing, as well as the video games themselves.
In particular, the Pokemon Let’s Go Switch titles along with the Pokemon GO mobile game were singled out as big contributors to the franchise’s success in 2018’s fiscal year. With more highly anticipated releases coming in 2019, its likely that the franchise will continue to see similar profits as it moves into 2020.
